Nottingham Forest have entered the race to sign Brazilian wing-back Renan Lodi, who was linked with a move to Man City during the transfer window. It appears as if the player’s club, Atletico Madrid, are ready to let Lodi leave on a loan deal in order to sign a new player themselves before the transfer window slams shut.
Forest have been the Premier League’s busiest side in this transfer window, bringing in plenty of new faces.
After appearing 42 times for Atleti last season, Lodi had been expected to stay put this season, but manager Diego Simeone has other plans and intends to bring in a new defender – possibly in Hector Bellerin of Arsenal – before August 31st.
It is understood that Forest will sign Lodi on loan for the season, and will have an option to sign the Brazilian on a permanent basis come the end of the current season.
