Allahabad High Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against the Transport Commissioner of UP. Justice Karunesh Singh Pawar has given this order on the petition of petitioner Vivek Kumar Shukla. The court had ordered the Transport Commissioner to complete the investigation and appear in 3 months. The Transport Commissioner neither appeared nor filed a reply.

Court was very angry with the Transport Commissioner

The Transport Commissioner had suspended the petitioner Vivek Kumar Shukla and set up an inquiry. The petitioner challenged his suspension in the Allahabad High Court. While staying the suspension, the High Court had sought a reply from the Transport Commissioner. Along with this, the court had also directed to complete the investigation in 3 months. Even after the directions of the court, neither the investigation was completed nor the reply was filed. This made the court very angry. Justice Karunesh Singh Pawar has issued a non-bailable warrant against the Transport Commissioner and ordered to be produced before the court.

Refusal to interfere in women’s selection matter

The Allahabad High Court has refused to interfere in the recruitment of women over unreserved posts in the Excise Constable Recruitment case. While hearing this case, the court said that it is not arbitrary to classify the physical efficiency of men and women. The court said that the allegation of discrimination between men and women is baseless. Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamseri has given this order while hearing the petition of Pramod Kumar Singh and Siddharth Pandey.

It is not acceptable that only men will be ahead in the 21st century: High Court

Allahabad High Court further said that women power builds a powerful society. Women have made their place in the merit of failed men by earning a large number of successes. It is not acceptable that men will be ahead in the 21st century. The court also said that the petition is not maintainable.

The Subordinate Services Selection Commission had recruited Group C Excise Constable, out of which 203 were General, 109 OBC, SC 85, ST 8, Freedom Fighter Dependent 8, 20 Ex-Servicemen and 81 Women Posts. Its result was declared on 17 August 2021, in which 143 women got the final success. The male candidates who failed to succeed 143 women against 81 posts were challenged in the Allahabad High Court.
