Centre-State Government Tussle On Inflation: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is in discussion these days about her statements regarding inflation. The Finance Minister has again given a big statement regarding inflation. The Finance Minister has said that the responsibility of bringing down inflation is not only of the Central Government. He said that the State Governments should also play their role in bringing down the inflation.

Inflation is high in the states!
The Finance Minister said that there should be a joint effort to control inflation and it is the responsibility of both the Center and the states. Regarding the prices of petrol-diesel, the Finance Minister said that the central government has reduced the excise duty on petrol diesel twice, now it is the responsibility of the states (to reduce VAT). The Finance Minister said that the inflation rate in some states is even higher than the national level, which is a cause for concern. He said that due to non-reduction of VAT on petrol and diesel in these states, the inflation rate remains high.

Modi government has given relief!
Addressing the conference on inflation organized by ICRIER, the Finance Minister said that the Central Government has taken many steps to give relief to the common man from inflation. The government has imposed export duty on steel so that there is a balance between domestic prices and the interests of producers. The Finance Minister said that inflation has increased due to globalization and the central bank is making efforts to control it.

Inflation is not a priority with ‘red letters’
On Wednesday also, the Finance Minister had said that inflation is no longer the biggest challenge before the government. Rather, creating more and more jobs and achieving the goal of economic equality is the biggest priority of the government. He had said that, some priorities are red letters, in which he said that the creation of jobs, Equitable Wealth Distribution i.e. economic equality and taking the country forward on the path of development are included in the red letter priorities. Is. He said that from that point of view, inflation is not included in the red letter priorities. He said that in the last few months, the government has achieved success in controlling inflation.
