Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested Sahil on Tuesday itself.
On February 10, Sahil Gehlot killed his live-in partner Nikki Yadav in Delhi’s Baba Haridas Nagar. The quarrel took place on the issue of Sahil’s marriage. After this, Sahil strangulated Nikki with the mobile cable lying in the car and hid the body in the fridge of his dhaba in Mitraon village.
Nikki Yadav (22) was a resident of Jhajjar, Haryana. She was living with Sahil Gehlot (24) in South Delhi’s Uttam Nagar since 2018. He had planned to go to Goa with Sahil.
Before Sahil could dispose of Nikki’s body, someone informed the police. The police has arrested the accused Sahil. While Nikki’s postmortem will happen today.
Sahil and Nikki had earlier also gone to visit many places including Manali, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Dehradun.
Both were about to go to Goa, before that Nikki was murdered
Police told that Nikki had planned to go to Goa on 9 February. He had also booked flight tickets. But before that he came to know about Sahil’s marriage. Sahil calls Nikki to meet him and cancels the plan to go to Goa, but a fight ensues and Sahil kills Nikki.
After hiding the dead body in a dhaba just 700 meters away from his house, Sahil married another girl on February 10 at the behest of his family members.

Neither the father knew Sahil nor the address of the Goa plan
Nikki’s father Sunil Yadav told that Nikki had come home 15 days back. She stayed for 3-4 days, then neither she was in any tension nor did she tell anyone about Sahil or Goa plan.
The father came to know about the daughter’s death when the Delhi Crime Branch called him. According to reports, Sunil Yadav has demanded that the accused Sahil be hanged.
Sahil’s Dhaba and the fridge kept there in which Nikki’s dead body was kept.
Argument on the matter of getting married to someone else
DCP Crime Branch Satish Kumar told that Nikki was a resident of Jhajjar in Haryana. She was living in live-in with Sahil Gehlot since 2018. Sahil’s marriage was arranged by the family elsewhere. Nikki and Sahil had an argument on this matter on 9 February.
Sahil kills Nikki in the car near ISBT. After this, he kept roaming around with the dead body. Someone informed the police about hiding the dead body at the dhaba, then it was revealed. Sahil also married another girl on 10 February itself.
