Shiromani Akali Dal and Congress party have accused Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann of embarrassing Punjabis across the world. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal has said that Bhagwant Mann was deboarded from the flight in Germany due to excessive drinking. It has also been said that the flight was delayed by four hours due to Bhagwant Mann.
Sukhbir Badal, while sharing a clipping of a news site, tweeted that Bhagwant Mann was thrown off a Lufthansa flight due to his excessive intoxication. Mann missed out on attending the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) National People’s Representative Conference held in New Delhi on Sunday through video conferencing due to excessive alcohol consumption.

According to Sukhbir Badal, Punjabis across the world have faced embarrassment due to media reports quoting co-passengers of the flight. According to these reports, it was said on behalf of a passenger that CM Bhagwant Mann had drunk so much alcohol that he could not even stand on his feet properly.
According to Sukhbir Badal, the passengers aboard the flight told that the luggage of his team present with Bhagwant Mann had to be unloaded from the plane, due to which the flight was delayed by 4 hours. Punjab government officials who were accompanying Bhagwant Mann also urged the Lufthansa flight crew not to take the CM off the flight as he had to reach New Delhi to attend several important meetings already scheduled. But without compromising on the safety and rules of the passengers, the crew members thought it appropriate to take off Bhagwant Mann from the flight.
