Air show was held in Chandigarh on Saturday on Indian Air Force Day. On this occasion, Air Force personnel showed feats in the sky. President Draupadi Murmu arrived as the chief guest in the program. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also accompanied him. MP Kirron Kher was also present in the program. Along with this, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit also enjoyed the air show.
Thousands of people came to watch the air show at Sukhna Lake. The air show went on till 5 pm. More than 80 aircraft like Rafale, Sukhoi, MiG, Prachanda, Miraj, Chetak, Cheetah, Chinook, Rudra showed strength in the sky. Trained jawans of the Air Force performed feats from a height of thousands of feet by parachute. On this occasion, the Air Force also launched New Combat Uniform for its soldiers.
Air Force got new uniform
On the 90th Raising Day, the Indian Air Force has launched a new uniform for its soldiers, which is similar to the uniform of the Army. The digital pattern of the uniform is adaptable to all localities. It will make the soldiers comfortable in moving from places like desert, mountainous land, forest. This uniform has been designed by the Standing Dress Committee of the Air Force and the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
Air Force got new branch
The Indian Air Force has also got a new operational branch on the 90th Raising Day. This will reduce the cost of flying training. This branch will operate surface-to-surface, surface-to-air missiles, aircraft flying through remote pilot and twin or multi-crew aircraft. The branch will also include new Weapon System operators, who will fly in twin engine or Mukti crew planes such as the SU-30 MKI.
