Tamil Nadu Encounter: On February 22, Balamurugan of Ulganeri, Dorabala, was killed in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar area near Varanagar. Madurai Mattuthwani police registered a case and investigated the matter. Vinod, Mari, Vijayaraghavan, Surya and Jagateshwaran were arrested in this murder case. Police was investigating. Vinod of Ulganeri, notorious for various crimes, was arrested as the first accused and taken to identify the area where the murder took place.
When the police took Vinod to Vandiyur area of Madurai, suddenly the accomplice of the accused who was hiding there attacked Constable First Rank Saravankumar and tried to escape. Then Inspector Rajangam Rowdy, posted on duty there, shot Vinod in his right leg. After this, the injured Rowdy Vinod has been admitted to the Government Rajaji Hospital for treatment. There has been a stir in the area after the accused who tried to attack the policemen was shot in the encounter and caught.
Murder incident on 22 February
In this case, a special force was formed under the leadership of Police Inspector Rajangam Rowdy. Police said that the condition of the accused Vinod and the police constable injured in the encounter is stable. Earlier, the police said that on February 22, Vinod along with his accomplices killed 29-year-old Balamurugan. According to the information, Vinod’s criminal history is old. The accused has already been involved in many criminal activities. Police said that in this case, investigation is going on closely on every aspect.
