Mumbai Covid-19 Case: In Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai, Corona is ready to create havoc once again. For the last few days, there has been a sudden spurt in the cases of corona in the city. Today, on Thursday (April 13), 274 new cases of Kovid-19 were registered in Mumbai. With the new cases, the corona cases in the city have increased to 1,159,819. Although there has been no death due to corona in the city in the last 24 hours. BMC has released this data regarding the cases of corona in the city.
Corona patients increased in Mumbai hospitals
Out of the fresh cases, 13 patients were admitted to the hospital, with this the number of corona patients admitted in hospitals in Mumbai has increased to 121. Of these, 34 patients are on oxygen support. Along with new cases, 216 patients were also cured of corona. The total number of patients cured of corona in the city has increased to 1,138,432. There are 1,635 active cases of corona in Philhar city.
2,026 covid tests done in the city today
According to the data released by BMC, 2,026 tests of corona were done in the city on Thursday. With this, the total number of corona tests in the city has increased to 188,17,140. The recovery rate from Corona in Mumbai is 98.2%. At present, there is a provision of 2100 oxygen beds in Mumbai for corona patients.
A day earlier i.e. on Wednesday, 320 new cases of corona were registered in Mumbai, which was the highest number of cases in a single day after September 3, 2022. Apart from this, two people also died in the city yesterday due to Corona. Among those who died, there was a 50-year-old man who was already suffering from severe lung infection, besides the second deceased was 81 years old who was suffering from pneumonia.
Face mask made mandatory in BMC hospitals
In view of the increasing cases of corona in the city, BMC has made it mandatory to wear face masks in all BMC hospitals from 10 April. Apart from this, BMC has also appealed to its employees and people above 60 years of age to wear masks.
1086 new cases surfaced in Maharashtra
If we talk about Maharashtra, then 1086 new corona cases of corona have been reported in the state on Thursday. Apart from this, one person has died due to corona in the last 24 hours in the state and 806 people have also been cured. At present there are 5700 active cases of corona in the state.
