Girl who attempted self-immolation in rape case
On Monday, there was a ruckus at the commissionerate intersection in Meerut. The reason was that the mother and daughter reached for self-immolation with a bottle of petrol. The mother alleges that the daughter was raped 6 years ago in 2017. But, no arrest has been made so far. The police is barking. The victim’s family has been wandering from door to door for 6 years. Please tell that this woman has been jailed for murder in the past. who is currently out on bail.
A woman resident of Jani police station area said that in 2017 along with her daughter, a young man named Sanju had raped her. The police did not arrest Sanju. Have met police officers many times. But, the accused is repeatedly threatening to kill the daughter.
As soon as the mother daughter tried to pour kerosene, the police present there and the people around snatched the bottle. Mother and daughter have threatened self-immolation if action is not taken.
Giving information, the Media Cell of Meerut Police said that a case of rape, POCSO and kidnapping was registered in TP Nagar police station in February 2017. In 2021, a second case related to the same case was registered at Jani police station.
In which the woman who attempted self-immolation was also jailed in the murder case. Now the woman is out on bail. The Sanju, whose name the woman is taking, is the nephew of the woman. The warrant from the court is already issued. In which the police is taking action on the basis of evidence.
