More than 300 corona cases in UP in 24 hours, so many cases found in capital Lucknow


UP Covid Updates: In the last 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh corona virus (Coronavirus) 319 new cases have been reported, which is the biggest one-day jump of this year. With this, the number of active cases has increased to 1,192, which is the highest this year. Experts appealed to the people not to ignore the safety protocols. In the last 24 hours, Kovid-19 has been detected in 64 people in Lucknow, taking the number of active cases to 225. At least 10 patients are admitted in various hospitals, of which the condition of two is critical, including a woman undergoing treatment at King George’s Medical University (KGMU).

There has been a significant increase in the Covid-19 positivity rate in the last two weeks. It has increased more than four and a half times from 0.6 to 2.8. Professor Anil Kumar Gulati, former head of the microbiology department at Banaras Hindu University’s Institute of Medical Sciences, said people have stopped wearing masks, washing hands and following Covid-19 protocols. They should know that Omicron is highly contagious. Though Omicron does not cause serious illness, it can prove fatal for elderly people and those with comorbidities.

Doctors gave this advice to people
Chief Medical Officer Dr Manoj Aggarwal said, although vaccination reduces the chances of severe disease, people should understand that they can still get infected and pass the virus on to others. Hence, people need to follow the necessary protocols. Medical Superintendent of KGMU Prof. D. Himanshu said that the administration should ensure that people wear masks and clean their hands while participating in Eid, Baisakhi and other festivals. People should avoid large gatherings. Of the 64 cases reported in the state capital in the last 24 hours, the maximum 15 were reported from Alambagh, followed by seven each in Aliganj, Indira Nagar and NK Road. The remaining cases are from Kaiserbagh, Chinhat and Bakshi-Ka-Talab.

New cases have been registered in these districts
District Monitoring Officer Dr. Nishant Nirwan said that the health condition of the infected people is stable and they are recovering in home isolation. The state capital also reported the highest number of 66 new cases in a day, while Gautam Budh Nagar reported 62 and Ghaziabad 48. On Monday, the health department will hold a review meeting with the nodal officers, who will monitor the mock drill on Tuesday.
