Molestation of minor girlfriend, 10 years sentence: The victim was sleeping with four sisters, the lover took away; case of 2016

Khandwa court has sentenced an accused to 10 years imprisonment in a case of atrocities on a minor. The accused had a love affair with the victim, she was sleeping at home with her four elder sisters, when the accused took away by luring her. Punishment Special Judge POCSO Act, Prachi Patel sentenced the accused Raju’s father Premlal Yadav (27), resident of village Salai, Thana Dhangaon.

The accused Raju was punished with rigorous imprisonment of 10 years and a fine of Rs 2000 in the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act 2012 read with Section 5 (L) of Section 6. Assistant District Public Prosecution Officer Rupesh Tamoli conducted the case on behalf of the prosecution. In this case, the prosecution media cell in-charge Zahid Khan gave information.

Told that on July 20, 2016, the mother of the minor had lodged a complaint with the police station Dhangaon. She was sleeping at night with her daughters. When he woke up at 5.30 in the morning, he could not find his fifth number girl i.e. the victim. When she was not found in and around the house, she searched the victim in the village and relatives with the help of her husband. But there was no trace of the accused.

The accused was in love with Raju of the village. On the basis of suspicion, when the complainant went to the house of accused Raju along with his brother-in-law and saw him, the accused was not found at his house. On the basis of doubt, he got his brother-in-law and Jamai reported together. When the minor showed up, he told that he had been tortured.
