Mohammad Umar, close to Mulayam Singh Yadav in Etah district, says that Mulayam Singh was from a poor family. Once he had come to Etah in 1985 with Babu Ram Master in the marriage of the daughter of Atar Singh Yadav MLA. Mohammad Umar was also there. So as soon as Mulayam Singh Yadav saw Mohammad Umar, he said that you did not get your place, we had to wash our face by running the tap with our hands in the inspection house. At the same time, he put his hand in his pocket and went to Shikohabad in his car with Rs 200 for diesel petrol.

Donation was raised for the car

They tell us that we liked that our leader took money from our pocket when his condition was not good. The poor were from home. Worked hard in my life. Founded the party, became the Chief Minister, was the Defense Minister in the Central Government. The worker who once joined him did not leave. He loved his worker so much.

He tells another anecdote of Netaji’s poverty. They say that Netaji was very poor, he did not have a car. Then we were ordered to arrange a car for the President. So we collected 2000 rupees from Etah and deposited it in the state office. Due to which an ambassador car came for Netaji for 75 thousand rupees.

Mohammad Umar was made the first district president of the Samajwadi Party of Etah in 1991 by Netaji Mulayam Singh. He was associated with Netaji from 1980 and remained connected till the end. They tell that Mulayam Singh Yadav had contested the Legislative Assembly election in 1993 from Nidhauli Kala seat of Etah district.

Umar was in charge of Vis election in Badaun

Mulayam Singh Yadav contested from Samajwadi Party, AK Singh Yadav from Congress and Sudhakar Verma from BJP. He was the election in-charge of that election. At that time the election office of Netaji was built in front of Ram Darbar in Etah. Netaji won that election and formed the government in the state. Later he resigned from Nidhauli Kala seat and by-election was held on this seat. In the by-election, Usha Yadav was contested from the Samajwadi Party and she was victorious.

Mohammad Umar says that in 1996, Mulayam Singh contested from Sahaswan of Badaun, even at that time he was his election in-charge. Mohammad Umar has also contested from Kasganj Sadar seat in 1985 on the ticket of Dalit Mazdoor Kisan Party, in which Man Pal Singh Verma of Congress won the election.

Mohammad Umar weeps while paying tribute to Mulayam Singh Yadav and says that such a leader will not come again.
