Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Jalandhar West, Sheetal Angural has once again received threats on mobile. This time he has been threatened with death by calling him from the Internet. This matter is being linked to the rhetoric of Sheetal Angural against Amritpal Singh in the past. He had said in the past that Amritpal Singh is spoiling the atmosphere of Punjab. People like Amritpal should be arrested and put in jail on an emergency basis. Those who talk about Khalistan instead of Punjab, action should be taken against them.
Sheetal Angural had called Amritpal’s statement anti-national. Angural has cited the rhetoric against Amritpal Singh as the reason for threatening him. The local police have started efforts to trace the identity of the unknown accused by registering a case against him.

Angural is the complainant of lot’s operation
It is worth noting that AAP MLA Sheetal Angural was lured by middlemen to join the BJP as part of the BJP’s alleged Lotus operation. After this, Sheetal Angural had spoken about receiving threats over the phone during a press conference by Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema. But in both the cases, the caller who made the threat has not been traced so far.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s name taken
MLA Sheetal Angural had also named Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the case of Lotus Operation. He has also recorded his statement to the Punjab Vigilance. Angural had alleged that the caller had approached him and asked him to meet elder babu Amit Shah.

FIR lodged under Lotus Operation
On the complaint of 10 AAP MLAs including MLA Sheetal Angural, the Punjab Police had registered an FIR under the Lotus operation. But no AAP leader or Punjab Police officials have made public the identities of those who have approached and threatened the MLAs as part of the Lotus operation. However, AAP MLAs had said that those who approached them had identified themselves as Punjab and Haryana High Court lawyers.
