Laxmi Nagar Robbery Case: A man lost his life while defending his friends from robbers in an apartment in East Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar area. He has been identified as Sunil alias Yasin, who was stabbed to death by a group of people who barged into the apartment of his friends. The incident took place at C-34 Vijay Block in East Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar at around 8:00 pm on Friday night. Police told on Saturday that three people named Vinay Kumar, Atul Kumar and Sahil lived in the flat. Vinay Kumar had a small business in the city and the other two were his associates.
According to the news agency PTI, Sunil, a friend of all three, reached the flat on Friday evening to meet his friends. Later that evening, a group of men attacked and ransacked the apartment. When they were protested, the miscreants attacked Sunil and Atul.
Police said that Sunil was seriously injured in the attack. Laxmi Nagar police said that four people have been arrested in this connection, while five are absconding. Continuous raids are going on to arrest the absconding people.

Earlier in January, an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Shambhu Dayal was stabbed to death by a thief in West Delhi. On January 4, a woman lodged a complaint with the Khyala police station that a man had stolen her mobile phone. Dayal immediately swung into action after receiving the complaint. He arrested a person named Anish on the charge of stealing a mobile phone. Anish stabbed Dayal several times with a knife. Shambhu Dayal was seriously injured in the attack. He had suffered injuries in the throat, chest and neck. However, despite being seriously injured, Dayal did not allow Anish to escape from the spot. The police team came and arrested the thief. Later Shambhu Dayal died during treatment.
