Uttar Pradesh Crime: A 14-year-old minor girl was shot dead in her house in Ghilora village of Bhamora police station area of Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. On the complaint of the victim’s grandmother, an FIR has been registered against the three accused. The incident happened on the night of Tuesday 7th February. All the three accused belong to the same village. The police said that they are looking into all aspects including honor killing.
According to the police, Riya studied in ninth grade and was alone at home at the time of the crime. His father Vijay Singh Gurjar and mother Manisha Devi had gone to Bareilly city for the treatment of their five-month-old son. Her grandmother Ramsnehi Devi was working in the field till late in the evening and when she returned home late, she found Riya’s body covered in blood. There were bullet marks on his chest. Seeing the dead body of her granddaughter, she shouted for help. Soon after hearing the sound of crying, village head Ramesh Kumar reached home and informed the police.
Case registered on the basis of grandmother’s complaint
SHO Singh said an FIR has been registered under section 302 (murder) against three suspects Jugendra Singh (55), his nephew Rajeev (40) and his son Rahul Singh. On the basis of the complaint of the victim’s grandmother, the I.P.C. Accordingly, we have taken all the accused into custody. they are being interrogated. As per preliminary investigation, it does not appear that they were involved in the murder of the minor girl. Because he didn’t even try to run away from the village. We suspect that someone close to the family may have killed the girl. We are collecting all the evidence to nab the real killers.
On receiving the information of the murder, Bhamora police station chief Danveer Singh reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. SHO said that we are investigating in every way. We hope that the matter will be revealed soon.
