Barcelona attacker Memphis Depay is reportedly keen on rejoining Manchester United before the transfer deadline.
The Netherlands international has entered the final year of his contract with the Blaugrana, and he is willing to terminate his deal to move on.
Juventus were initially interested in signing him earlier this month, but they were put off by his €7 million annual wage demands.
According to Sport, Depay has now spoken with United over a free transfer, and he could return to Old Trafford in the coming days.
United are preparing a formal contract offer. The 28-year-old is likely to accept the proposal, provided his demands are met.
Compared to the Serie A, there are more taxes involved in the Premier League. Depay is likely to hold out for €10m per year.
The Dutchman previously played for United between 2015 and 2017. He had a tough time with just two goals in 33 league games.
He is now a much better player with vast experience. Depay is nowadays more of a striker. He started his career as a left winger.
