Mayor Asha Sharma arrived to inspect Chhath Puja Kund in a society in Ghaziabad.
Chhath festival has started in Ghaziabad. Arghya will be offered to the setting sun on 30 October and the rising sun on 31 October. The Municipal Corporation has got the 61 Chhath Ghats cleaned and painted. Whereas a total of about three hundred and fifty six kunds have been prepared at the district administration, GDA and private level in the entire city. In this, water has not been released in some kunds, there is resentment among the Chhath Vratis about this.
Asha Sharma went to see the pool in the society
Meanwhile, a video of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation Mayor Asha Sharma is going viral on social media. The mayor had reached a society to inspect these kunds. Here he found the pond of Chhath Puja completely dry. After this, the mayor called his subordinate employee and reprimanded him.
‘Leave all the work and do this’
The mayor said, “Open both your ears once. If there is dirt, take it out with your finger. If this pump doesn’t run by 6 o’clock today, I’ll drive you. I will make you stand up and put the pipe in you and get the pump running. Today is their program for Chhath. They have a two-day festival tomorrow and the day after.
In the middle of the conversation, when something was said from the other side, the mayor again got angry. Bid- “Do not get it done, come near me, I am standing right here. Leave all the work and do this. One should not hesitate in this.”
DM said – all work completed
Ghaziabad DM Rakesh Kumar Singh said that works like worship altar, drinking water, toilets, changing rooms, path lighting, roads etc. have been repaired at all Chhath Puja Ghats. Control rooms have been built on both sides of the Hindon river. Here CCTV cameras will be monitored. Adequate police force has been deployed at all the ghats for security.
