Man Utd have finally reached an agreement to sign Brazilian wonderkid Antony from Ajax Amsterdam, in a deal worth a reported 100 million euros. The player has signed a long-term contract at Old Trafford, and manager Erik Ten Hag will be hoping the player rekindles the form that helped his former club succeed at his new club.
With 31 goals and 27 assists in 134 games for Ajax and former club Sao Paulo, Antony had an impressive record at Ajax, but it is his skills and ability that makes him one of Europe’s most highly rated talents.
The 5 foot 9 winger arrived at Ajax in 2020, and immediately caught the eye. His emergence from Sao Paulo to today at Man Utd in such a short space of time is one of European football’s big success stories.
The player will join fellow new signings Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Casemiro and Lisandro Martínez at the club, and is expected to be available for his debut against Arsenal in the Premier League this coming weekend.
Antony has signed a five year deal at Old Trafford, and will earn a massive £175,000 per week under the terms of this new contract.
