Malaysia Election: No party got clear majority in Malaysia, signs of manipulation government


Malaysia Election: Now there are chances of formation of a manipulative government in Malaysia. No party seems to be getting a clear majority in the general elections. In this election, the opposition parties were led by Anwar Ibrahim, while in front of them was a coalition led by former PM Muhyiddin Yasin. There was a close fight between the two, but neither got enough seats to form the government.

In the election survey also, Anwar Ibrahim’s alliance got the maximum number of seats. The chances of a hung parliament were expressed in the survey as well. The ruling United Malays National Organization (UMNL) has been badly rejected by the people. Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yakub lagged behind in his traditional stronghold. His alliance got only 30 seats.

Anwar Ibrahim can become PM!

According to a report by Al Jazeera, there was a close fight between Muhyiddin Yasin’s alliance and Anwar Ibrahim’s alliance. Anwar’s Alliance of Hope won 82 seats in the 222-member parliament, while the National Alliance led by former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin trailed with 73 seats. Elections were not held on two seats, while the results of one seat were not declared till the news was written.

Malaysia’s most experienced leader Mahathir Mohamad has suffered his first election defeat in 53 years. He finished fourth on the holiday resort island of Langkawi, his traditional seat. Among the biggest upsets is Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yacoub falling behind in his traditional stronghold.
