There is a Kisan Mahapanchayat at Jantar Mantar in Delhi today. Delhi Police has not given permission for its event. In view of the crowd of farmers, the traffic police have made route diversions on some roads, while police security has been increased on the seven borders of Ghaziabad and Noida adjacent to Delhi. Due to the police checking, there has been heavy jam at all the borders.
At present, there is a long line of vehicles on the Ghazipur border.
Protest against unemployment
Demonstrations on unemployment continue at Jantar Mantar. Meanwhile, the farmers have given their support to this demonstration. A Mahapanchayat has been called under the banner of United Kisan Morcha (SKM) here today. It is claimed that farmers from the states of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar etc. will reach Delhi in this Mahapanchayat. However, the Delhi Police has not given permission for the event till late Sunday night.
Many prominent leaders reached Delhi at night
On Sunday, Rakesh Tikait, the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, was going to Delhi. Delhi Police took them into custody at Ghazipur border and released them after keeping them in Madhu Vihar police station for about an hour. It is being told that the prominent farmer leaders of the Kisan Mahapanchayat had reached Delhi by Sunday night. They are staying in Dharamsala, Gurudwaras.

Line of vehicles at Ghazipur border
Here, since this morning, the Delhi Police has a tight guard on the borders of Delhi adjoining Ghaziabad and Noida. Vehicles are being given entry into Delhi after checking at the Ghazipur border. Same is the situation of Seemapuri Border, Loni Border, Chilla Border, DND Toll. Delhi Police has barricaded the road. The vehicles coming out of this barricading are being checked. Because of this, vehicles are moving around on the roads leading to Delhi.
