Maha Aarti of Narmada on Kartik Purnima VIDEO: Devotees gathered in Maha Aarti, took bath as soon as the eclipse ended

On the occasion of Dev Diwali, Kartik Purnima, devotees take bath in the holy rivers of the state. Due to the lunar eclipse, more number of devotees were seen in the evening than in the day. Maha Aarti of Mother Narmada took place at Sethani Ghat of Narmada river in Narmadapuram. More than 3 thousand devotees came to see the Maha Aarti.

Maha Aarti is performed on every full moon day of mother Narmada like the Maha Aarti that takes place in the lines of river Ganges in Varanasi. Mother Narmada Aarti started at 8:15 pm with Narmadashatak. Maha Aarti was conducted by the scholars with the help of 251 lamps according to the law.
