Accused caught in police custody.
In Ludhiana, Punjab, on Tuesday, the police arrested 4 notorious miscreants who were plotting robbery near the railway bridge on Jassian Road. The police were looking for the arrested miscreants in connection with the murder of a jeweler in Bhikhiwind village of Tarn Taran. The arrested miscreants have been identified as Manpreet Singh alias Johny, Harpreet Singh alias Happy alias Suhara, Gurdev Singh of Amritsar and Ajit Singh of Tarn Taran. One of the accused is Karanveer alias Karan, a resident of Tarn Taran.

Ludhiana JCP Narinder Bhargava said that the team of Haibowal police and Jagatpuri police outpost caught the accused when they were planning to carry out the robbery. Police have registered a case at Haibowal police station under sections 399, 402 of IPC and sections 25-54-59 of Arms Act and are interrogating the accused to know more about their past crime records. The remand will be taken after presenting the accused in the court so that it can be known that how many incidents the accused committed in Ludhiana.
