Loss of revenue: 3162 pending applications of government houses in Bhopal, while 2500 houses are vacant, out of which 1241 are lying vacant for 3 years

A committee meeting of the Directorate of Estates is held every three months for allotment. In this, houses are allotted after discussing the applications. This meeting did not happen for a long time.

There has been a strange situation in the allotment of government houses. At present, 2500 houses are lying vacant in the capital alone, while the number of pending applications has gone up to 3 thousand 162. There are 1241 such vacant houses, which have been vacant for more than two-three years, while 1251 houses are newly built. This is also the situation when the government is not getting the revenue that the government would get in the form of 33 crore rent annually. Instead, you have to pay house rent.

Status of vacant houses in the capital

F-Type – 626 houses vacant, out of which two damaged

g-type – 1129 houses vacant, 17 damaged

h-type – 615 houses are vacant, 1 poor quality

i-type – 134 houses are vacant, condition of 9 is bad

(Note – The vacant houses include 700 newly constructed government houses in front of New Market Hotel Palash and 551 houses in Laxmiganj Mandi Bogdapul.)

So you get this much rent… The rent for an F-type house is Rs 900, for a G-type Rs 700 and for an H-type Rs 600 per month. They do not have to pay house rent allowance.
