An illegal hospital was closed today by the Health Department in Varanasi. Health officials found many irregularities in the surprise inspection of Sahyog Hospital, Naria. When the operator was found absent from the hospital, he was called and informed about the action.
The Health Department has taken this action today on the instructions of Varanasi District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma. During the inspection of the officers, no qualified doctor was found there. Along with closing the hospital, action has been directed against the operator.

Varanasi Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sandeep Choudhary said that as part of the campaign started against illegal private hospitals, Naria’s Sahyog Hospital has been locked down. During the surprise inspection, only one staff was found. Her name was Nisha. Nisha said that Dr. TS Upadhyay (BAMS) sits here morning and evening. There, Dr. MK Singh has been ill for a long time. During the inspection, only 2 beds were lying in the hospital. Some allopathic medicines and injections were kept there.
Instructions to close the hospital by calling the doctor
CMO Dr. Chaudhary said that Sahyog Hospital was being operated without registration. Dr. Chaudhary said that Dr. Calling TS Upadhyay, instructions were given to close the hospital with immediate effect. He said that necessary action is being taken against the hospital.
