Tension was going on in the entire village of Majra Buaram of Basuhar in Sarai Akil police station area due to a dispute over a road between two parties. The Revenue Accountant came on 30 December 2001 to settle the dispute. After the metering, the accountant went back at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. The land dispute escalated around 3 pm. Both sides came face to face and shots were fired. In which Akhilesh Dwivedi’s son Hira Lal was shot. He collapsed on the spot.

On the tahrir of the father of the deceased, a case of murder was registered against Chakradhar son Ram Sanjeevan, Lakshmidhar son Ram Sanjeevan, Chhotelal son Ram Sanjeevan, Manoj son Lakshmidhar, Anil son Chhote Lal and Sushil of the village itself. After the investigation, the police filed a charge sheet against all the accused in the court. The letter was sent to the Juvenile Justice Board when the accused Sunil Kumar was a minor.

Assistant Public Prosecutor Anirudh Kumar Mishra said that the five accused in the case were tried in the court of ADJ (First) Shivanand Singh. On behalf of the state government, including the plaintiff’s case, a total of eight people of the incident were produced before the court and got testimony. While arguing, he requested to give the harshest punishment to all the accused saying that the charges have been proved. Declaring the allegations made by the advocate on behalf of the defense as unfounded, the accused were requested to be acquitted by giving them the benefit of doubt.

After hearing the arguments from both the sides and perusing the evidence available in the letter, Akhilesh Dwivedi has been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs. Court Muharrir Ram Bahadur, present in the court, has sent the five accused in custody and sent them to jail to undergo the punishment.
