The confrontation between Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is not taking its name to end. The latest case is of October 2. When CM Kejriwal and none of his ministers were present at Raj Ghat and Vijay Ghat to lead the President on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. LG has written a 5-page letter to CM Kejriwal stating it is against the protocol. In this, he has expressed his displeasure in 10 points.
You counterattacked on the letter
Replying to the letter of LG Saxena, the AAP government has written – For the last several years, CM Kejriwal takes part in the program to be held on the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mahatma Gandhi. This time due to being in Gujarat, he could not reach Rajghat. Two days back, he had addressed a huge rally in the tribal area of Gujarat. In front of his rally, the Prime Minister’s rally in Ahmedabad was lightened. Where there were only empty chairs. AAP alleged that LG Saxena has written this letter on the instructions of the PM.
On Gandhi Jayanti, President Murmu had arrived to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, but no leader of the Delhi government led by him was present.
Kejriwal accused of insulting President
President Draupadi Murmu had reached Delhi’s Raj Ghat to pay tribute to Bapu on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Where neither the CM nor any other minister of his government came to lead him. Angered by this attitude of the Kejriwal government, LG Saxena called it a violation of protocol and accused Kejriwal of insulting the President.
Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia had reached Rajghat to pay tribute to Bapu, but he left before the President arrived.
Deputy CM did not wait for the President
LG Saxena wrote in the letter – Your Deputy CM Manish Sisodia may have come to Rajghat, but could not wait for the President to come. He left there in no time, while the President and the Vice President were invited for the program only after getting approval from the CM and Deputy CM.
Just advertising in newspapers doesn’t work
Saxena told Kejriwal through his letter – I am very sad and disappointed with the attitude of the Delhi government. From the President, Prime Minister to all the leaders had reached Rajghat and Vijayghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, but the Delhi government was limited to advertisements only in the newspaper. It appears as if there has been a deliberate breach of protocol.
