Delhi Crime: In the capital Delhi, a live-in partner poured turpentine oil and set the woman on fire. After which the woman admitted to the trauma center of AIIMS died on Monday (February 20). The incident is of February 10, when the deceased had a fight with his partner Mohit, when he found Mohit taking drugs at his friend’s place. After which the argument started between the two. Enraged by this, Mohit poured turpentine oil on the dead body and set it on fire.
Delhi Police said that on February 11, a woman was reported to be admitted to SGM Hospital (Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital) after she suffered burn injuries at Aman Vihar police station. As soon as the information was received, the police immediately reached the hospital. As soon as she reached the hospital, the police kept trying to take the victim’s statement, but the patient was not in a position to give a statement to the police, because at that time her condition was very serious.
The victim was transferred when the situation worsened.
Please tell that the condition of the victim started deteriorating gradually. Thereafter, the victim was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital and then to AIIMS Trauma Center for further treatment. When the police investigated the matter, it was found that the victim had left her first husband and was living in a live-in relationship with a person named Mohit for the last 6 years. The 28-year-old victim worked as a laborer in a footwear factory.
Police is investigating the case by arresting the accused
The victim has two children. An eight-year-old son from his previous marriage and a four-year-old daughter from his current relationship. On Monday, the AIIMS Trauma Center told that the victim had died during treatment. His post-mortem was also done today. Police said that the accused Mohit has been taken into custody and a case has been registered under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Aman Vihar police station. Police said that further investigation is being done in the matter.
