Mumbai crime: The Cyber ​​Cell of Mumbai Police has arrested a person who cheated by pretending to be the CM of Andhra Pradesh. The 28-year-old man is accused of allegedly cheating an electronics retail chain of Rs 12 lakh. The police have identified the accused as Nagaraju Budumuru. According to the police, Budumuru has cheated about Rs 3 crore from about 60 companies by taking the name of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The police gave this information on Tuesday.

CM’s PA used to cheat
Giving information about the incident, the Mumbai Police said, the accused called an electronic seller. He introduced himself to the seller as the PA of the CM of Andhra Pradesh. Nagaraju said that he needed the number of the managing director of the electronics retailer. Chief Minister wants to talk to MD.

After getting the Managing Director’s number, the accused allegedly contacted the MD, claiming to be the PA of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. After which he asked for Rs 12 lakh from an electronics retail chain for sponsorship of a cricketer’s kit. An official said that the accused gave fake documents and email ID of Andhra Cricket Association. In which he claimed that it belonged to a cricketer. After which he got this amount released from the seller.

30 cases already running on the accused
After checking for forged documents, when the victims realized that they had been duped, the electronics seller filed a police complaint in January. On the basis of whose complaint, the cyber cell of Mumbai Police started the investigation. On investigation, the police tracked down the accused and arrested him from near the Odisha state border.

Mumbai Police has registered a case against the accused Nagaraju Budumuru under sections 419, 420, 465 and 467 of the Indian Penal Code. The police later came to know that about 30 cases were already registered against the accused Nagaraju in similar cases. The police have recovered about Rs 7.6 lakh from the bank account of the accused.
