Kerala gold smuggling case chief accused Swapna Suresh.
A youth has been arrested from Amritsar’s Cantonment area for giving fake degree to Swapna Suresh, the kingpin of the gold smuggling case that shook Kerala’s power. The arrested youth has been identified as Sachin Das, who lives in the area under Cantonment Police Station. At present, the Kerala Police has arrested him and taken him with him.
According to the information, in the interrogation of Kingpin Swapna of Kerala Gold Smuggling case, it was found that he had left school in time. But he got the degree of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University from him. On the basis of fake certificates and IAS officer M. Shivshankar, principal secretary to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, got a job in the IT department. The name of accused Sachin Das came up during interrogation and the Kerala Police has arrested him from Amritsar on Tuesday morning. At present, he has been given a three-day transit remand. Das, who reached Kerala on Thursday, will be produced again in the court.
