Recently, he praised a contestant’s hair and also told that he often takes gajra for his wife Jaya Bachchan.
In the last episode of KBC 14, Megha Bathwal became the first contestant to answer the Fastest Finger First round. After sitting on the hotseat, Big B introduced Megha. Megha told that she is a media planner from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. After this Big B praises the contestant Megha’s hair and also comments on her gajra. Excited contestants ask him whether he also buys gajra for his wife Jaya Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan replied yes and told that his wife likes gajra very much and he often buys it for her. Big B said, “Yes often, whenever Jaya wore a saree, she used to tie gajra in her hair for fragrance. I would often buy it in bulk from local vendors so that they could get a good amount for their hard work.”
