fired first and then called back

Media reports suggest that most of the employees who were fired were called back later. The company felt that many of these people were of great benefit to the company. After this, a lot of questions were also raised on Musk’s retrenchment decision. The most important question was whether Musk took the decision to lay off Twitter in a hurry?

paid blue tick

Social media platform Twitter saw the subscription model as the biggest change after the arrival of Elon Musk. Musk clearly said that now users will have to pay 8 US dollars per month for blue tick or verification. Twitter has also started this service in many countries. However, his decision was also criticized a lot and in the end, Musk had to change his decision and for now the paid blue tick service was stopped. Let us tell you that since Musk became the owner of Twitter, he himself has campaigned for paid blue ticks from his Twitter.

U-turn on official badge

On November 8, Twitter introduced an “Official” label for select verified accounts, including major media outlets and governments, when launching its new $8 premium subscription product. And just a day later, on November 9, Musk tweeted that he had stopped the new ‘official’ label for Twitter accounts for now.

Musk’s biggest decisions so far-

  • Elon Musk attacked Twitter’s top leadership as soon as he became the owner. Here, Musk’s entry took place and there he showed the way out to CEO Parag Agarwal. Along with Aggarwal, top executives including CFO Ned Sehgal, legal affairs and policy head Vijaya Gadde also lost their jobs.
  • Musk has promised that there will be no change in the content policies yet. He has clarified that no decision has been taken yet regarding the restoration of banned accounts like Donald Trump. The final decision on this will be taken only after a newly announced Content Moderation Council. He has said that it will take at least “a few more weeks” to implement the new account restoration process.
  • According to a report in The Guardian, Elon Musk is reportedly also considering charging fees for video content. The feature will include letting people post videos and charging users to watch them, which Twitter will cut back.
  • Elon Musk is making rapid changes in the company. In his new decree, he has issued a new guideline for those running parody accounts. Elon Musk shared a tweet, in which he told that now users running parody accounts will not only have to write ‘parody’ in their bio, but they will also have to write ‘parody’ in their name. He said in the tweet that users running parodies should not trick people.
