Five army soldiers were killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. This encounter started at 7.30 am on Friday morning in the forests of Kandi in Rajouri. Meanwhile, the terrorists blasted and the jawans came under the blast. Meanwhile, mobile internet service has been suspended in Rajouri.

Army is conducting a search operation in Poonch to eliminate the terrorists who attacked the army truck on April 20. After receiving input that the terrorists were hiding in Rajouri, the army started a search operation in the jungles of Kandi on May 3, two days later i.e. on Friday, the army and the terrorists were confronted. The encounter continued till late night.

On the other hand, a meeting of foreign ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held in Goa. After this, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar held a press conference. He described Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto as the promoter, protector and spokesperson of the terrorism industry. Earlier, Bilawal had called India’s decision to abolish Article 370 illegal in a press conference.

S Jaishankar welcomed all foreign ministers with folded hands at the SCO meeting.

On the question asked about Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Jaishankar said, ‘As the foreign minister of SCO member country, the foreign minister of Pakistan was treated like the foreign minister of other member countries. But their (Pakistan’s) position as a promoter, protector and spokesperson of the terrorism industry was countered, and this happened during the SCO meeting as well.

Earlier, Bilawal said that by taking away the status of special state from Kashmir, India has closed all avenues of dialogue. Jaishankar held bilateral discussions with the Foreign Ministers of China and Russia on Thursday and with the Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan on Friday. The search operation has been intensified after the encounter between security forces and terrorists in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir.
