Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind: The speech of Maulana Arshad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind (AM group), is very much discussed. Madani gave this long speech on the last day of the three-day 34th session of Jamiat at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan. During this, Madani also said that spreading hatred should be declared a national crime. Madani talked about taking strict action against those who spread hatred on the basis of religion.
Madani also welcomed the stand of the central government regarding Pasmanda Muslims. During this, referring to hate speeches, he said, spreading hatred between people coming from different religions should be seen as a national crime. During this, Arshad Madani also attacked fiercely regarding the stand of the central government.
Will raise voice against violence – Madani
Maulana Mahmood Madani, chief of the Muslim organization Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, claimed that incidents of violence against minorities have increased in the last few years and the government and the administration did not act as they should have. “We will raise our voice and fight against such incidents,” he said. Madani also said that the minorities have no religious or racial animosity towards the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the majority. He invited Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat to forget “mutual enmity and enmity” and “embrace” each other to make the country a superpower.
Said this about Muslims
Madani said, “The population of this country is at least 140 crores. It is spread over lakhs of square kilometers. Inspite of having different cultures, languages, food habits and different ways of thinking, this country is connected and united. Muslims have a big role in this. Incidents will happen in such a big country and taking them as the thinking of the whole community will fail you. Your success lies in identifying those who are doing such activities. They are speaking such language.
He said that a large section of the majority is ready to stand with the Muslims and there is a very small number of people who are “bent on enmity” and “spreading hatred”.
