Israel Vs Palestine: Two Palestinians Killed, 11 Wounded by Israeli Soldiers in the West Bank Raid

Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: Israeli soldiers have carried out a military raid on Saturday (October 8) in the West Bank area occupied by Israel. During this raid, Israeli soldiers attacked the Jenin Refugee Camp and shot and killed two Palestinians. 11 people have also been injured in this recent attack. Palestinian officials say 2022 has been the deadliest year of violence in nearly a decade.

said attack early in the morning

According to Palestinian officials, Israeli troops attacked the Jenin refugee camp early Saturday. Here the soldiers surrounded a house. In the video of this attack that has come on social media, Israeli soldiers can be seen firing fiercely. According to the Wafa News Agency, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has identified the victims on Saturday. Both Palestinians who died are 17-year-olds. They have been identified as Ahmed Mohammad Daraghmeh and Mahmoud as-Sous.

The ministry said that at least 11 others were injured in this new Israeli attack, three of whom were seriously injured. Israel has carried out several attacks on this camp in recent months. According to Wafa, a man and his daughter were also among those injured on Saturday. Both of them were standing in front of their house in the camp. During this, an Israeli army vehicle climbed on top of them.

In fact, this camp is known as a stronghold of Palestinian Israeli rebel fighters. “The more crimes Israel commits in the occupied territories, the faster the resistance,” Islamic Jihad said in a statement. In recent months, these rebels have carried out deadly attacks in the streets of Israel.

deadliest year in 10 years

According to Nida Ibrahim of Al Jazeera, Janine has been the center of tension. “We are talking about more than 114 Palestinians killed in the Israeli attacks earlier this year in the occupied West Bank, and a third of them in Jenin,” Ibrahim said. “We are also seeing the use of air power during the Israeli raid,” he said.

This is something we haven’t seen since the second Palestinian Intifada in the early 2000s. The Intifada refers to an armed insurgency by Palestinians against Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The year 2022 is considered the most dangerous year of Israeli attacks in the West Bank since 7 years.

Saturday’s attack comes a day after two Palestinian teenagers were shot dead by Israeli forces in separate incidents in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. One Palestinian was killed in Kalkilya in the northern West Bank, while another was killed near the city of Ramallah. The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has called these deaths on Friday Israel’s death sentence.

The Israeli forces did not reveal anything more than the arrest of a man and information about the shootings in Jenin. The Israeli military said its soldiers fired at a suspect who threw Molotov cocktails at soldiers in Kalkilya and responded to violent riots outside Ramallah.

Aman Ki Baat Failed

The Israeli army is killing Palestinians by raiding in the northern West Bank, especially in Jenin and Nablus. As a result, the Palestinian armed resistance is becoming more organized and new groups of fighters have been formed. In May, Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was shot dead while covering an Israeli raid in Jenin.

According to United Nations figures, at least 20 minor Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank this year. In the Middle East War of 1967, Israel occupied the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. This was a move that was never recognized by the international community.

Palestinians see these areas of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem as their future country. In 2014, US-broker peace talks with the aim of creating a Palestinian state in these three regions were also unsuccessful. After this, there was no sign of such initiative of peace again.
