IS will soon release video of Taliban leader Rahimullah Haqqani’s assassination, aiming to win Salafis

Rahimullah Haqqani: The Islamic State will soon release a video of the assassination of senior Afghan cleric Rahimullah Haqqani, who was killed in a suicide blast last month. It is believed that Islamic State can use this video to weaken the Taliban government in Afghanistan.

Let us tell you that Rahimullah Haqqani was known for his fiery speeches. Haqqani had avoided being assassinated twice before. According to an AFP report, the cleric did not hold any official position in the Taliban leadership, but had taught several members of the group over the years. Haqqani had also publicly spoken in favor of allowing girls to go to school before the murder.

Haqqani was killed in Kabul

Actually, Rahimullah Haqqani was killed in a suicide attack in his madrasa in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Haqqani had been attacked before, in which he was seriously injured. He was living in the Pachir Aw Agam district of Nangarhar province near the Pakistan border for the last 9 years. He founded Madrasa Juberi only a few years back, which has hundreds of students and teachers.

The level of violence in Afghanistan seems to be increasing continuously. There is almost no sign of any relief in the coming days as well. Terrorist activities in Afghanistan have increased since the Taliban came to power in August last year. At the same time, a data has shown that the fighters of the National Resistance Front and Islamic State are increasing in strength, which is also increasing the violence.
