Investors Wealth Loss: The stock market has seen a huge decline since the last two trading sessions. In these two trading sessions in the Sensex 1500, there has been a big decline of 466 points in the Nifty. Investors who were buying in the month of August are seen selling for the last two days, due to which investors have to face huge losses. Investors have lost Rs 6.5 lakh crore in two trading sessions.
The market capitalization of stocks listed on BSE was Rs 280.52 lakh crore on Thursday, which has come down to Rs 274.02 lakh crore on Monday. Let us tell you that in the last two months, there was a tremendous increase in the wealth of the investors of the stock market. Investors’ wealth has increased by Rs 45 lakh crore in two months.
It is believed that due to the fear of rising interest rates in America, the stock market is witnessing a downward trend. The US Federal Reserve is indicating to raise interest rates in the coming meetings. In September, it is being estimated that the Federal Reserve may increase interest rates by 75 basis points. If this happens, then the exodus of foreign investors can start. And the selling phase may start in the stock market. Foreign investors have bought shares worth Rs 18,000 crore in the month of August, although this is only 5 per cent of the sales made by them in the last 10 months.
