Inspector suspended: Inspector suspended of warehouse for filling paddy sacks of excessive moisture, disturbances caught during inspection of mandi

On Tuesday, Rahul Bhandari, Principal Secretary, Department of Public Relations in Food and Civil Supplies and Information, has ordered action against the concerned department of a procurement agency and the Arhti, for irregularities in the procurement process of paddy in Rajpura Anaj Mandi on Tuesday. Following his orders, warehouse inspector Amarinder Mann has been suspended by the government for dereliction of duty.

This has been confirmed by SDM Rajpura Dr. Sanjeev Kumar. Principal Secretary Rahul Bhandari had reached Rajpura on Tuesday to take stock of the smooth procurement process of the paddy crop and the arrangements made at the administrative level. Rahul Bhandari said that this action has been taken after the negligence of filling paddy sacks with high moisture and without cleanliness in Rajpura’s market came to the fore. In future also no officer or employee will be spared for negligence. All shellers will be verified before the start of milling from 15 to 15 and quality parameters will be checked at the time of taking back 67 kg of rice including checking the material in the sheller to maintain the quality.
