In Amritsar, Punjab, the Vigilance Bureau has arrested one of its own inspectors for demanding bribe. The arrested inspector has been identified as Amlok Singh and was posted in Amritsar range. At present, investigation has been started by arresting Amlok Singh.
The complainant had posted the video against Amlok Singh on the complaint portal of CM Bhagwant Mann. The complainant made a video of the whole matter and gave it to the Vigilance Bureau. The Vigilance Bureau started investigation after receiving the complaint. During investigation, Amlok Singh was found taking bribe of Rs. After which the Vigilance Bureau arrested Amlok Singh and started investigation.
Flying Squad will investigate
Punjab Flying Squad-1 has initiated action against Amlok Singh. The case has been registered in SAS Nagar. Now the entire matter will be investigated by the Flying Squad only. At present, the interrogation is going on since his arrest.
