A snake entered the engine of the Police Control Room (PCR) vehicle in Sector-19 of Chandigarh on Wednesday. The fire brigade and the forest department’s rescue team were immediately informed about this. The engine was checked by lifting the PCR from the towing van of Chandigarh Traffic Police. The forest department searched for the snake for about one and a half hours but it was not found.
After this, the vehicle was called from Sector 17 Fire Brigade office to remove the snake from the engine of the vehicle. The fire brigade vehicle reached the spot on getting information. The water pressure hit the PCR engine but the snake did not come out for a long time. After this the PCR vehicle was sent to the MT section of Chandigarh Police.
According to the Forest Department, the description of the snake given by the police was a rat snake. However, even after searching for him for a long time, he could not be found. The forest department was informed by PCR in-charge SI Hira Singh that it was a snake. The rescue team led by Forest Officer Ram Kumar had gone.
