Indian-origin man accused of raping Korean women by giving them drugs and making videos


Sydney Rape Case: Balesh Dhankhar, an Indian-origin man in Sydney, Australia, is facing trial in 13 cases of crimes including rape against women. Recently, Daily Mail had published a horrifying report of the alleged crimes of Balesh Dhankhar, an Indian-origin living in Sydney. According to the report, the accused Dhankhar was allegedly working as a data visualization consultant for Sydney trains. Apart from this, he also worked for ABC and Pfizer. Balesh Dhankhar used fake job advertisements to trap women.

Korean women caught in the net
According to the report, Balesh Dhankhar specifically targeted women of Korean origin. Five of the 13 victims who accused Dhankhar of rape were from Korea. Balesh Dhankhar had put out a fake job advertisement to trap him. Money Control quoted the Daily Mail as saying that Dhankhar offered to hire women who could translate from Korean to English.

Used to give drugs to women
According to the report, the accused Dhankhar used to invite women to the Hilton Hotel Bar in Sydney, close to an apartment, and mix Rohypnol or sleeping pills in the women’s drinks to take them to the apartment. After this, he used to rape fellow people in his apartment. The report states that Balesh Dhankhar had an alarm clock equipped with a hidden camera, which he had attached to his mobile camera and used to record the sexual assault of all the women who fell into the trap. Some footages were recovered from his possession, from which it seemed that all the work was done with consent. However, it was clear that the victim women were not aware of the videos being shot in the room.

47 recordings of sexual relations recovered
The Money Control report states that the police have recovered 47 recordings of Balesh Dhankhar’s sexual relations with Korean women. In these videos found in his seized laptop, it was shown that many of the women were unconscious and in a relaxed state. Let us tell you that Balesh Dhankhar of Indian origin has been accused of rape 13 times between January and October 2018. Other charges against Dhankhar include 17 counts of obscene recording without consent and 6 counts of giving drugs along with one act of obscenity.
