Embassy of India in Ukraine Advisory: In view of the deteriorating security situation in Ukraine and the recent attacks, the Indian Embassy has issued an advisory. On Wednesday (October 19), the Indian Embassy said that citizens of India are advised not to travel to Ukraine. The embassy has advised Indian citizens, including students present in Ukraine, to leave Ukraine at the earliest.
On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced martial law in four regions of Ukraine. These areas are Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson, which were illegally occupied by Russia. After the declaration of martial law, the heads of all regions of Russia have got additional emergency powers.

What did Vladimir Putin say?
Vladimir Putin said during a meeting of the National Security Council that I have signed a decree to introduce martial law in these four subjects of the Russian Federation. After which the Kremlin published a decree stating that martial law would be implemented in the regions from the beginning of Thursday.
Attacks on Ukraine escalate
Recently, attacks on Ukraine from Russia have also been intensified. On Monday (October 17) itself, drone attacks were carried out on many cities of Ukraine. On behalf of Ukraine it was said that six people have died in the drone attack, including a pregnant woman. Earlier on October 10, about 84 missiles were fired from Russia in Ukraine. 19 people died in this attack.
