Joginder Pal has been arrested in illegal mining case
Earlier, former MLA Joginder Pal has also been arrested by the police for illegal mining. The police had taken him on remand for two days. At that time Joginder Pal was referred from Guru Nanak Dev Medical College, Amritsar to PGI due to deteriorating health.
Police had registered a case against five people
On June 8 this year, on the complaint of a mining officer, the police raided the Krishna stone crusher in Kidi Khurd. Police teams had seized Poklane machine, JCB and tractor-trolley from the spot for illegal mining. Poklane driver Sunil Kumar and crusher employee Prakash had fled from the spot. After investigation, the police had registered a case against a total of five people including Joginder Pal’s wife Krishna, another partner Lakshya Mahajan.
