Maharashtra Coronavirus Testing at Airport: An official of the Maharashtra Health Department said that out of 97,805 passengers who arrived at Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur International Airport since December 24, 1,926 samples tested positive for coronavirus infection in four people. He said that this also includes an international passenger from Pune, who was detected with the infection in the testing done at the airport there during the day. He said that of the four positive cases detected at these airports, two are from Pune, one from Navi Mumbai, while one patient is from neighboring Goa.
Samples sent for genome sequencing
He said that samples of all four have been sent for genome sequencing to find out how corona virus Infection has occurred. Screening of passengers arriving at international airports in the kingdom began on 24 December as a precautionary measure against a rise in cases in countries such as China, South Korea, Brazil and the United States.
