A fast track court in Haryana’s Panipat district has sentenced a man guilty of raping a 6-year-old girl to life imprisonment. District Attorney Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary said that the fast track court of ASJ Sukhpreet Singh has imposed a fine of 50 thousand along with punishment to the guilty Sonu resident of village Rukhanpur, district Muzaffarnagar, UP.
The convict had raped the girl about three and a half years ago in May 2019. The convict has been sentenced under section 376 AB of the IPC. At that time the age of the convict was 41 years.
Went to get cold water from factory
Giving a complaint to the Model Town police station on 26 May 2019, the woman told that she is originally from Patna, Bihar. Recently she lives in a colony in the police station area. She is the mother of four children. Which has 3 daughters and a son.
The youngest daughter is 6 years old. Who had gone to get cold water from the factory built in front of the house at 7:30 pm. Where Sonu took his daughter to the roof of the factory. There he raped the girl.
When the girl started crying and screaming, Sonu left her there and fled. When the mother reached the spot after hearing the noise, she saw that her daughter was crying and blood was coming out of her private parts. The girl was admitted to the civil hospital for treatment.
A day later the accused came under control
On the basis of the complaint, the police had registered a case against the accused Sonu under Section 376 AB of IPC and 4 POCSO Act. The police had collected necessary evidence from the spot. The absconding accused Sonu was arrested by the police on May 27. The accused was arrested. He confessed his crime during police interrogation.
