A video of a woman being beaten up in Hamirpur district is going viral. In the video, the mother-in-law is seen beating the daughter-in-law in the middle of the road. While registering a case on the complaint of the victim’s daughter-in-law, the accused mother-in-law has been challaned under section 151.
The viral video is of Rath Kotwali town of Hamirpur district. In the Jugiana locality here, there was a dispute between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law for depositing electricity bill. The dispute caught so much that the mother-in-law got angry and dragged the daughter-in-law out of the house and in the middle of the road, the father-in-law started beating the daughter-in-law. At the same time, the mother-in-law also showered slippers on the daughter-in-law. During this, when people got noticed, people intervened and pacified both of them.

There was a dispute regarding the payment of electricity bill
While registering a case under minor sections on the complaint of the victim woman Saeeda Bano, the accused father-in-law Muhammad Shafi and husband Taufeeq have been challaned. Rath Kotwali in-charge Vinod Kumar Rai told that there was a dispute regarding depositing the electricity bill, a case has been registered against the husband and father-in-law and challan has been issued.
