IAS implicated in ME TOO case in Punjab: Women employees allege objectionable remarks, officer said – allegation baseless

In the Punjab Government, a senior officer of a major department has been accused of ME TOO by the women employees of the department itself. When the matter came to the notice of the Chief Secretary, he removed the IAS officer from the responsibility entrusted to him at present. Whereas the concerned officer was recently entrusted with the responsibility. A departmental inquiry is being conducted in the matter.

At the same time, the concerned officer in the case has termed the allegations against him as baseless. He has said that questions have been raised on him on a confidential letter, while till now no female employee has come forward. All the allegations against him are false.

It is worth mentioning that the women employees wrote a letter to the Chief Secretary, in which they allege objectionable remarks by the IAS. In their allegations, the women employees said that the officer sometimes used to sit on their chair and harass them. Women employees have alleged that IAS officers make lewd remarks on them, without taking into account their age and dignity of the post.
