In the meeting, Hindu and Sikh organizations said that they do not tolerate conversion on the soil of Punjab under any circumstances. It was decided in the meeting that the September 27 bandh called by the Christian community would not be allowed to succeed under any circumstances. However, the Christian community has already withdrawn its bandh period.

Tejinder Singh Pardesi of Sikh Coordination Committee, Harpal Singh Chadha, Manoj Nanha of Hind Kranti Dal, Valmiki Samaj leaders Raj Kumar Raju, Rajesh Bhatti, Subhash Sondhi were present in the joint meeting of the organizations. Everyone said that people are being cheated by giving them the lure of money, in the name of getting rid of diseases, in many other ways and then their religion is being converted.

Leaders of Hindu and Sikh organizations said that in the past, a huge case of cheating in the name of curing disease had come to the fore in a church in Jalandhar. Tejinder Singh of the Sikh Coordination Committee said that there are different rates of sickness and blessings in the church. He said that the family of a child who had come to the church in Delhi for treatment in the past and who had died, had also accused the pastor of cheating. The pastor had cheated thousands of rupees in the name of curing a disease like brain tumor which even a hospital like AIIMS had denied.

These leaders said that due to the negligence of the police and administration, the number of churches in Punjab is increasing rapidly, which is a matter of serious concern. A girl lost her life due to superstition in Tajpur Church. Despite this, the police did not register a case against the church management, but put the matter in cold storage.

The leaders of Hindu, Sikh, Valmiki and Ravidasiya communities said that all should unite and raise their voice against conversion. All the leaders said that now if there is a case of getting conversion done by giving any greed and allurement, then do not be limited to the complaint only, but also take action in time. So that those who run shop in the name of religion can be given a befitting reply.
