A total of ten judges, including 5 new women judges, have been approved in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday. These judges include Kuldeep Tiwari, Gurbir Singh, Deepak Gupta, Amarjot Bhatti, Ritu Tagore, Manisha Batra, Harpreet Kaur Jeevan, Sukhwinder Kaur, Sanjeev Bairi and Vikram Agarwal. The President has issued orders for the appointment of these judges.

This is the first time in the history of Punjab and Haryana High Court that the number of women judges has crossed the ten mark to 12. This will also be the first time in the history of the High Court that the total number of judges will be 66. Never before has there been such a number of judges in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
