Hearing a PIL filed by Ashish Mishra and others, the bench had sought an affidavit from the government and the municipal corporation on efforts to prevent vector-borne diseases. In compliance of the order, Additional Chief Standing Advocate Amitabh Rai of the State Government and Advocate Namit Sharma of the Municipal Corporation submitted affidavits. On this, the court said that we want that along with the papers, the work should be seen on the ground as well, not just a formality in the name of fogging.
