The Lucknow Bench of the High Court has once again asked the government to work in action mode against dengue.

The Lucknow Bench of the High Court has ordered to present a concrete action plan to solve the problem of mosquitoes, stating that the steps taken by the State Government and the Municipal Corporation on the increasing outbreak of dengue mosquitoes in the capital are insufficient. The court has fixed November 11 for the next hearing of the case.

A division bench of Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal, Justice Jaspreet Singh, while hearing on Wednesday, has asked the state government and the municipal corporation to make a plan and make aware of the plan regarding how to curb the problem of mosquitoes in the city. Hearing a PIL filed by Ashish Mishra and others, the bench had sought an affidavit from the government and the municipal corporation on efforts to prevent vector-borne diseases. In compliance of the order, Additional Chief Standing Advocate Amitabh Rai of the State Government and Advocate Namit Sharma of the Municipal Corporation submitted affidavits. On this, the court said that we want that along with the papers, the work should be seen on the ground as well, not just a formality in the name of fogging.
