There is torrential rain in Delhi-NCR for 24 hours. Due to this, schools and colleges in Ghaziabad and Noida will remain closed today. In Gurugram district adjoining Delhi, the Disaster Management Authority has advised all companies to work from home as far as possible today. This has been said so that in the event of waterlogging, there is no blockage on the roads. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in NCR.
One day school closure orders issued
District School Inspector (DIOS) of Gautam Budh Nagar district Dharamveer Singh said, “In view of the heavy rains, all board schools of classes one to eight will remain closed on September 23 on the orders of DM Suhas LY.
Ghaziabad’s District Basic Education Officer said, as per the instructions received from the DM, all schools from 1-8 will remain closed on Friday. All the Block Education Officers should convey this information to all the schools from their level and ensure that no school opens on Friday.

Waterlogging occurred on the main road in Loni area
The districts where the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert on Friday morning include Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr of NCR. In Bulandshahr, a cyclonic storm has also caused havoc in Siana area on Thursday. Damage has also occurred in some villages of Hapur district. On Thursday, it rained intermittently throughout the day in Noida and Ghaziabad. This has led to the problem of water logging in many areas. Roads are full of water, especially in the Loni area of Ghaziabad.
